The InnerTuba Tour – Midwest to Northwest USA.
A steady stream of generous folks are coming forward in support of this venture. As at November ’24, securing a further $10,000 will cover all the expenses involved in preparing for and executing this impressive tour – including some fairly hefty investment in quality equipment upgrades…
You can donate to help turn the idea to a reality – to have InnerTuba back on the road “Stateside” again, as soon as 2025. Be you a prospective “tour confirming” corporate sponsor, or a kindly fellow who wants to send some pennies, your support is appreciated. Please read on ….
Leaving Iowa, the intended journey visits South and North Dakota, Montana, Idaho, Washington State and Oregon. Having passed through Portland, the end point is a little beyond Astoria, Oregon, on the Pacific Northwest Coast. Over 2,000 miles of varied, sometimes challenging terrain.

Following The Adventure Cycling Association’s Northern Tier and Lewis and Clark Trail Routes, it can be seen from the Association’s stats that there is a fair bit of climbing over the Rocky Mountains ! InnerTuba will ride sections 3 – 7:
Averaging about 30 miles per day that would take about 67 days. Add to that 30 plus non travel days – set aside for performances and media appearances – the tour becomes around 100 days, leaving Minnesota in late May and reaching the Pacific Coast by early September ’25.
To help this ambitious project to get the green light, please consider what support you can offer !
