Regular visitors will know that InnerTuba is keen to promote the creation and performance of new music for tuba both as a soloist and with various ensembles.

Last Saturday saw the first performance of John Iveson’s arrangement of Joni Mitchell’s song “A Case of You” for solo tuba and brass band. John, conducted, I played the solo part, Flookburgh Band accompanied me, a healthy and receptive audience listened to it, and Tim Churchill recorded it.

So if you weren’t there at Cartmel Priory, Cumbria, England, here’s your chance to listen to the recording now….

… and here’s InnerTuba calling to Brass Bands everywhere, MEGAPHONE¬†style:

If you fancy the idea of getting together with InnerTuba to perform “A Case of You” in a concert, please get in touch.

The aim – come Spring 2015 – is to pedal the InnerTuba rig throughout the length and breadth of the UK linking up with Brass Bands from Land’s End to John O’Groats everywhere along the route.

(Subsequent tours aim to include Norway and Canada, so lets bandy about some ideas with you lot, too!)

Your band’s interest can help to shape itineraries…..
